Pastor Lawanda Hampton is the youngest child of Deaconess Gracie Childress and the late Deacon Junius Childress. She is a wife, mother of three children, and grandmother. Her oldest daughter, Ariel Hankins who reside in Elizabeth City, NC with her husband Malik, Deaconess Taneijha Ford 28 who reside in Cumberland County with her husband Deacon DaShawn Ford. Elijah Hampton who resides in Buckingham County. She is the proud grandmother, to Ethan Ford.
Pastor Hampton is on the battlefield for the Lord. She loves studying, teaching, and preaching the Word of God. She has been in the ministry for 14 years. Licensed to preach the Gospel 2014 and Ordained in 2017.
Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Alvin Witcher, Jr. She is a graduate of Virginia Union University Samuel DeWitt School of Theology (Evan Smith) in 2015. In 2016, she completed her certification in Grief Issues and Special Needs and Advanced Theological Studies.
Continuing to grow in grace 
Pastor Hampton is pursuing a Masters Degree in Theological Studies at Moody Bible Institute. She serves as the president of the Rising Star Sunday School and is the pastor of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Cumberland, VA where she gave her life to Christ as a teenager.
